Dear Neighbor,
I’m a lifelong Kuna and Idaho resident. I’ve seen a lot of change happen in our community, but we’ve been able to preserve and protect what we love about this place over the years.
I’m writing to let you know about a couple local candidates who are rooted in our community and ready to make sure we keep District 23 great. I’m supporting Shawn Dygert and Melissa Durrant, because we need leaders who understand our communities’ agricultural heritage and way of life.
I first met Mr. Dygert as a sophomore at Kuna High. Thirty-three years later he’s built an agricultural education program that has garnered national awards. Melissa Durrant’s family goes back generations in our community, and she and her husband currently operate more than 300 acres of their own.
As the communities of District 23 grow, we need leaders who understand agriculture and our Idaho way of life. Advocating for this crucial sector involves championing policies that ensure fair market access, water resource management, and all aspects of agriculture production and processing. This is about our future: as we advocate for agriculture in Idaho, we preserve a thriving and interconnected community that values the land and its people.
Please join me in voting for Melissa Durrant and Shawn Dygert. We can count on them to show up for
our farms and families.
