Dear Neighbor,

My name is Paul Wilde and I’m the retired Sheriff from Bonneville County. During my 43 years in law enforcement, I was honored to work alongside dedicated men and women to protect our communities. 

I’m writing to let you know about two candidates running for State Representative in our district: Representative Josh Wheeler and challenger Brett Skidmore. I’ll be voting for Josh Wheeler, because we need a representative who supports police and understands the rule of law.

If you’re like me, you know that Idahoans value the rule of law and respect the men and women who serve our communities every day. Representative Wheeler has faithfully voted to support our police and the Idaho National Guard -  especially critical during this time when we are fighting the scourge of fentanyl coming into our state. 

Unfortunately, his opponent, Brett Skidmore’s history does not demonstrate a strong support for the rule of law.  We can and simply should do better.

Supporting Josh Wheeler on May 21 means:

• A strong voice for Idaho’s veterans who have served our country honorably

• Unwavering support for police officers and first responders

• Protecting Idaho from the growing problem of fentanyl
